WORKING IN THE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES
This module will prepare the candidate with the appropriate knowledge to start their own business and different employment opportunities.
The candidate will develop the skills necessary for employment in the creative industries and they will be able to recognise commercial, legal and financial issues involved in the industry.
Outcome 1-2
For the first outcome the candidate must prove what skills are required to develop a career in the creative industries, for example:
- Networking;
-Business focus;
-Communication and delegation;
The second outcome requires knowledge of commercial, financial and legal issues involved in the industry, examples:
-copyright and contractual factors;
-Health and safety;
-copyright factors.
Outcome 3
Outcome 3 for this module will be assessed with a mock job interview. The candidate most produce a cv and a cover letter. both of these should reflect the candidates career path, they must explain why they are suitable for the job explaining their strenghts and skills.
